 *One open position is for one year only, to fill a position now open due to a resignation.  Candidate with 7th highest number of votes for existing open position will assume this position.  This individual / position can stand for re-election for a two year term in 2018.  There are eight candidates running for seven positions.

Sara Stanley Culbreth

Huntsville, TX

Stated Position Sought:  TSCA Secretary

Sara is a graduate of Stephen F Austin University where she studied accounting and later achieved her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.  Sara’s career has encompassed 10 years as a practicing Public Accountant, and 18 years in municipal government serving as the Director of Finance and later as Chief Administrative Officer.

Sara is a Life Member of the NSCA and has been actively competing in registered sporting clays events since 2014 averaging 7,000 registered targets annually. 

Sara has expressed her desire to be a candidate for the TSCA Board of Directors, more specifically the position of Secretary, in order to use her unique and professional skill sets to further the sport she cares deeply about.

Desirae Edmunds

Houston, TX

Incumbent Director - TSCA Director 2015-2017, TSCA Hall of Fame Jacket and Recipient Program Coordinator

           Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Desirae began her shooting career in the early 2000’s.   Relocating first to Huntington Beach, California and then to Houston, Texas, Desirae has risen to the elite ranks in the Sporting Clays community. 

Desirae is a Life Member of the NSCA and her numerous achievements including multiple PSCA Tour Wins, Regional, National and World Victories have made Desirae a staple on Team USA and a globally recognized ambassador for the sport.

            Desirae has expressed her desire to seek re-election to the TSCA Board of Directors and maintain her role in coordinating the TSCA Hall of Fame Recognition Program in concurrence with the TSCA Hall of Fame Banquet and TSCA Annual Meeting.

Grady Gibbons

Orange, TX

Stated Position Sought:  TSCA Director, Sub-Committee TBA

Grady has been a professional in the construction industry his whole career, working his way from the bottom to Vice President and Construction Director of a small firm specializing in Gulf Coast contracting.   Grady has previously served on the Board of Directors for ABC-Southeast for 25 years as well as the Advisory Council for Leadership of Southeast Texas for 5 years.

Grady is a Master Class competitor and began shooting in registered targets in 2012.  His travels have taken him to several State, Regional, National and most recently World events where in 2016 he registered 16,000 targets.

Grady has expressed his desire to be a candidate for the TSCA Board of Directors in order to give back to his member state organization and ensure others have the opportunity to embrace sporting clays as he has.

Thomas D. Jackson

Silsbee, TX

Stated Position Sought:  TSCA Director, Sub-Committee TBA

            Thomas is a graduate of Southwest Texas University, and has been a professional in the Natural Gas Industry since 2001, serving in various roles with CenterPoint Energy and presently as District Measurement Technician with Kinder Morgan Pipelines.   

            Thomas is a Master Class competitor, NSCA Level 1 Certified Instructor, NSCA Referee, and has been an avid competitor since 2013.

            Thomas has expressed his desire to be a candidate for the TSCA Board of Directors with the specific goals of using his unique skills and experiences to further the aims of TSCA.

Dwight Lumpkins

Liberty, TX

Incumbent Director - TSCA Director 2015-2017, TSCA Sub-Gauge Challenge Program Director

            Dwight is the founder and managing partner of Clay Mound Sporting Center in Liberty, TX as well as an Oil & Gas professional with 37 years’ experience in consulting and management as the owner of DNL Interests and TBL Partners LLC.

            Dwight is a Life Member of the NSCA, has registered almost 70,000 lifetime targets, and as a target setter and range owner manager uniquely understands the challenges associated in growing sporting clays across the state of Texas.

            Dwight has expressed his desire to seek re-election to the TSCA Board of Directors and maintain his role as the director coordinating the very successful TSCA Sub-Gauge Challenge Program.  Dwight wishes to continue to be a thought leader developing new ways for TSCA members to grow and enjoy the sport he loves. 

Ben F McAnally

Buffalo Gap, TX

Incumbent Director - TSCA Director 2015-2017, TSCA Standards Committee, Director Texas State Trophies and Awards

            Ben is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a BBA in Accounting and Finance.  Since 2008, Ben has practiced in the Wealth Management division of Merrill Lynch serving as a Vice President and managing partner in the Hull & McAnally Advisory Group.       

Ben is a Life Member of the NSCA, NSCA Level 1 Certified Instructor, NSCA Referee, Life Member of the National Rifle Association, Life Member of the Dallas Safari Club, and Life Member of the National Eagle Scout Association.  Since 2011 Ben has served as a Director for his home club Abilene Clay Sports where he has held the positions of At-Large Director, Board Secretary, and Board President (2017-2018). 

            Ben has expressed his desire to seek re-election to the TSCA Board of Directors.  Previously as a TSCA Director, Ben has served on the TSCA Standards Committee which undertook the 18 month project of amending, reviewing and recertifying the TSCA bylaws.  Ben has also served as the chair for Trophies and Awards during the 2016 and 2017 State.  Ben is seeking re-election in order to continue representing TSCA members and small ranges across the state.

 David Niederer

Corinth, TX

Incumbent Director - TSCA Vice President and President Pro-Tempore 2015-2017, TSCA Hall of Fame Banquet Chair 2014-2017, Previously a TSCA Director of Texas State Trophies and Awards 2012-2013

 David is a graduate of the University of North Texas and since 2008 is the Owner/Operator of Fossil Pointe Sporting Grounds in Slidell, TX. 

David is a Life Member of the NSCA and an accomplished shooter with multiple notable finishes in State, Regional, and National sporting clays events.  As a competitor for 20+ years and range owner for 8+ years David understands uniquely the challenges associated with delivering a quality shooting experience to the constituents of the TSCA.

David has expressed his desire to seek re-election to the TSCA Board of Directors and to maintain his role as TSCA Vice President and TSCA Hall of Fame Banquet Chair.  David has served the TSCA Board of Directors in several capacitates previously dating back to 2012 and has shown excellent leadership and support for the TSCA.

 Jim Schaefer

Allen, TX

Incumbent Associate Director –Standards Committee Chair.  Position Sought:  TSCA Director, Standards Committee

            Jim is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach, and attained his MBA from Pepperdine University.  Professionally Jim has 30 year experience as a consultant specializing in strategic management and organizational effectiveness.

            Jim is a Life Member of the NSCA, Veteran Concurrent, and has competed in the clay shooting sports since middle school with a short time away from the sport while raising his sons.

            Jim has expressed his desire to be a candidate for the TSCA Board of Directors.  Previously Jim was a TSCA Director for 2015-2016 when another directorship was vacated and served as Standards and Bylaws Chair.  In 2017 Jim has continued serving TSCA where he presently presides as a sub-committee member of the Standard Committee where he recently completed an 18 month project reviewing and recertifying the TSCA bylaws.  Jim is seeking election in order to continue representing TSCA members and Range owners across the state.
