Board of Director Candidates

2019 - 2021

Cesar Aristeiguieta – New Candidate – Dr. Aristeiguieta is a passionate community volunteer holding numerous awards and distinctions.  He received the “Top Gun” award as the leading graduate of his police academy class. About 5 years ago after moving to Houston, “Dr. Cesar” started shooting sporting clays.  With his extensive experience in tactical pistols, rifles and shotguns, he loves the exhilaration of breaking tough targets; however, developing consistency in his game (maybe even perfection) is what keeps him coming back again and again to the game of sporting clays.  Dr. Aristeiguieta’s believes his extensive leadership and volunteer skills would be a compliment to the TSCA Board of Directors and its future growth.

Desirae Edmunds – Incumbent –   She began shooting at the age of 14 in Anchorage, Alaska.  Desirae is a Lifetime Member of the National Sporting Club Association (NSCA) and has shot 89,000 lifetime targets. She shot her first Nationals Championship in 2004, her first U.S. Open Championship in 2005 and her first World Championship in 2012 and has continued to participate in this event each year since then.  Desirae has served two terms as a TSCA Board Director and hopes to continue contributing to the State Association to improve sporting clay events and membership in Texas. Desirae is a highly demanded sporting clays instructor and has numerous sporting clays accomplishments. Five (5) time NSCA Championship Tour Ladies 1st; three (3) time PSCA Tour Ladies Champion; two (2) time U.S. Open and Nationals Lady Champion; two (2) time World English Lady Gold; 2018 World FITASC Lady Bronze; five (5) time World Cup Ladies Bronze; eight (8) time Lady All-American; seven (7) time All-American Lady Captain; and fourteen (14) time Ladies Team USA.

Gary Edwards – New Candidate – As a lifelong hunter and retriever and pointing dog field trial competitor, Gary joined his first sporting clays league three years ago and immediately became hooked by the thrill of the competition.  Gary is an NSCA Lifetime member. As a shooting sports enthusiast and Texas hunter, Gary wants to help build the future of the TSCA and NSCA and strengthen its Texas membership. Currently, as Chairman of the United Airlines Standards Committee, he believes his experience will benefit the TSCA and its membership.

Jane Edwards – New Candidate – An avid bird, small and big game hunter, Jane has also shot sporting clays for the last 30+ years.  She has experienced the thrill of “breaking the hard ones” and beating her personal best score as she became addicted to learning shooting tactics.  As a director for the American Cancer Society, the YMCA and her local Country Club, she has had a long successful career in sporting event planning, fundraising, membership and volunteer development in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.  Jane is ready to “roll-up her sleeves” and give back to the sport by getting involved with the TSCA. Jane would like to see the sport reach more families, women, youth and hunters.

Dwight Lumpkins – Incumbent – Was elected to the TSCA Board of Directors in 2015 and has served as Director of the Sub-gauge Challenge program.   He is retired from the Oil & Gas profession after 45 years and is a Partner at KL Ammo/Gamebore U.S., which is the exclusive U.S. importer and distributor of Gamebore shotgun shell products. As a Lifetime member of NSCA with more than 72,000 lifetime targets, a target setter and a previous range owner/manager, Dwight understands the challenges associated with growing sporting clays across Texas.  Dwight has expressed his interest in seeking re-election to the Board to continue in developing new ways for TSCA members to grow and enjoy the sport he loves.
